eCommerce Fuel Live 2015

The StoryCraft team is always hungry for the latest insight into what is happening in the eCommerce world. We often play just a part of the puzzle in our eCommerce clients’ work in the digital sphere, but we stay current with the ins and outs of all eCommerce processes from PPC buys to shipping fulfillment so we can strategize holistically.

This month some of the team flew out to Nashville for this year’s eCommerce Fuel Live. eCommerce Fuel Live is a gathering of successful eCommerce entrepreneurs along with followers of the acclaimed podcast and online community where brand owners can share their experiences in the online business world. Think of it like a miniature, intimate IRCE. But this event is devoid of Fortune 500 executives and software salesmen around every exhibit hall banner. ECFLive is all about the men and women who have built their brands from the ground up and into seven and eight figure businesses. The people behind the products and niches they sell to online.

The StoryCraft team was there to take in the keynotes, mingle with eCommerce folk, and film the whole thing. We worked with Andrew Youderian, podcast star and founder of eCommerceFuel, to cover the event and document stories from his key community members. eCommerceFuel launches the keynote speaker recordings online to add value within its private forum community. We work with them to splice up the content into smaller pieces that can be used throughout the year as sales and promotional materials to potential members.

When you have a small internal team at your company you don’t always have someone dedicated to marketing year round, let alone a content producer. And it is a rare occasion that you can get a bunch of your customers and community members all in one place at one time. It is an excellent opportunity to map out upcoming content and capture the materials necessary to be produced throughout the year all at once during a single conference or community event. And that’s exactly what we did.

We often associate customer testimonials with those lame ads on TV for our local personal injury law firm or car dealer. Customer stories don’t have to be hokey. They can actually be really cool, especially when you run an online business serving customers all over the world. eCommerceFuel Live was a testament to that; we could capture the stories from owners of unique stores like a beard oil brand from Austin, a dairy cow tracking device from Ireland, or a women’s underwear brand from California.
